The Downtown Development Authority of the City of Tifton is accepting sealed bids for the sale of a house located at 407 8th Street, Corner of Prince Avenue, Tifton, GA 31794, (located need Fulwood Park). The sale does not include any land acquisition and the house must be moved at the bidder’s expense within 60 days of the sale of the house; and after receiving all applicable licenses and permits. Faxed bids will not be accepted. Sealed bids will be accepted from 9 a.m. – 3 p.m. Monday – Friday until 12:00 Noon on Tuesday, July 22, 2014 at which time they will be publicly opened and read. Any bids received after the time designated above will be unopened. All bids must be marked with “Bid # 072014-A, House Removal” and must be received at the Downtown Development Authority / Main Street Program office. Your bid information should include the location where you plan on moving the house to. Preferably locations are within the Historic District. All bids must be sealed in an envelope or package clearly marked with the bid number, due date, time and delivered to:

The Downtown Development of the City of Tifton makes no representations as to unforeseen encumbrances on the property. The house is being sold “as is”. The bidder must investigate the property for all liens, judgments, taxes, assessments, or other encumbrances that would attach to the house. The bidder has the responsibility to verify the property with regard to size, development potential, structural and mechanical, etc. to the extent the bidder is satisfied and understands what is being acquired. Bidder can complete a walkthrough of the house by calling 229-391-3966 to make arrangement to pick up a key.
The successful bidder is responsible for adhering to all ordinances and obtaining all permits and licenses that are needed to move the house.
