Mission Statement:

"To effectively inform and educate citizens of Tifton with timely, honest and clear information about the role that the City of Tifton plays in the quality of life of our City. To increase revenues from City
provided services by planning and implementing an effective, progressive and dynamic marketing program thus reducing the City's dependence on taxes to provide a higher level of service to the citizens of Tifton."

The City of Tifton's Communications Department, under the direction of Dave Bosse, provides public information to residents and the media on city government and manages the City Government Channel broadcasting on CityNet Channel 9 and Mediacom Channel 95.

The Communications Department also produces the City Annual Report, Quartlery Newsletter Updates, and coordinates special projects for other city departments. Marketing of City Services is also a function of this department.
