Fire Department

The Tifton Fire Department provides a high level of quality fire protection to the citizens of Tifton, Georgia.  The jurisdiction we serve covers a 9 square-mile area that is located in South Central Georgia, just off of Interstate 75.  Serving a population of 16,000, our organization delivers a full range of fire protection including fire prevention and education, fire suppression, dive rescue and recovery, and hazardous materials response.

We are committed to providing our citizens with the best fire protection service possible.  This is accomplished in part by maintaining a staff of highly trained personnel.  Currently, we have three fire stations fully staffed throughout the city.

The Tifton Fire Department provides protection for life, property, and the environment from the ravages of fire and other disasters, natural or man-made, with the best trained personnel possible in a prompt and professional manner for the citizens of Tifton.

Vision Statement:

The Tifton Fire Department strives to prevent disaster as much as humanly possible through code enforcement, public education, and fire prevention activities. It is our vision that mitigation of all incidents is conducted in a prompt, caring, and professional manner. As part of our vision, we will always consider the support, development, health and safety of our employees as vital to the success of our mission and vision. Our vision includes a continued effort to improve our ISO rating so as to reduce the costs of property insurance for our citizens.
