Department
Description:
The Finance Department plans, organizes, leads, and monitors
the activities of the Finance Department's Divisions. We are
also responsible for the day to day management of all the City's
cash services including but not limited to: Cash Receipts,
Accounts Payable, Financial Reporting, Working with the Auditor,
Investment of the City's excess cash, Budget and Capital
Improvement planning and monitoring, and Revenue and Expenditure
forecasting. The department is also responsible for the payment
of all debt
and budget for a total oversight of over $35.6 for fiscal year
2005.
The Finance Department includes Accounting and Budget, Bookkeeping
and Cashier, Purchasing, and Inventory.

Accounting
and Budget:
The Accounting Division coordinates
preparation of the City Annual Financial Report and interim
financial reports, and preparation of annual budget. The
division is also responsible for accounts payables and insurance
coverage for the City.

Bookkeeping
Division :
The Bookkeeping Division is
responsible for the City's Investment portfolio in accordance
with the adopted policies, payroll, and check disbursement
for payables.

Purchasing
Division:
The Purchasing Division is responsible for
buying equipment and services for the City and initiating
and administering all contracts for the City.

Inventory
Division :
The Inventory Division is responsible for
maintaining an inventory of parts, supplies, and tools for
the City departments and operating the City's annual surplus
sale.
