The Tifton City Council is the governing body of the City and makes policy decisions and approves ordinances, resolutions and other local legislation to govern the health, welfare and safety of the City's residents. The City Council sets the vision for the City and adopts guiding principles and goals to reflect that vision for the betterment of its citizens.
City Council Workshops are normally held on the 1st Monday of each month and Council Meetings on the 3rd Monday of each month. Both meetings are held at Tifton City Hall in the Council Chambers beginning at 5:30 PM. Proper notice will be given if changes are made to the regular meeting schedule.
