Reward offer increased in Alazia Johnson murder case
TIFTON, GEORGIA – October 9, 2020, The reward for information leading to the identification and arrest of the person or persons responsible for the murder of Alazia Johnson has been increased to $8,000 due to the support of local businesses and individuals. All individuals and businesses wish to remain anonymous at this time.
At approximately 7:20 am on Tuesday, October 6, 2020, Tifton police officers responded to Peterson Apartments where a 9-year-old was found stabbed to death. Tifton Police Chief Steve Hyman requested the assistance of the Georgia Bureau of Investigation to lead the investigation. Tifton Police Department investigators are working with agents of the Georgia Bureau of Investigation to solve this case and bring the person or persons responsible for Alazia’s death to justice.
