Why is my water discolored or brown?
It is possible that the Tifton Fire Department is performing hydrant maintenance in your area. Performing this maintenance cleans out the system of the rust and dirt that can settle in the water mains. If you will let your faucets run for a couple minutes until the water starts to run clear again, there should be no more issues with discolored water until the next maintenance cycle. Please try to refrain from cleaning dishes or laundry during this time, as the discolored water has the ability to stain clothes.
Can the fire department fill up my swimming pool?
No, the Tifton Fire Department does not fill up swimming pools. You will need to contact the Water Department in order to fill your swimming pool.
Can you save my cat that is up in a tree or under the house?
No, the Tifton Fire Department does not save cats in trees or under houses.
