The City Manager of Tifton is responsible for directing the daily operations of all city departments and ensuring that the vision of the City Council is implemented.
The current City Manager is Jeff Shoobridge, who was appointed in early October 2025. He brings extensive experience in city management from previous roles in Minnesota and Florida, and is committed to making data-driven decisions to enhance the quality of life in Tifton.

He brings a wealth of knowledge from leading in City Manager roles in various cities, from serving on a Florida city’s council, owning a government consulting company, teaching high school, and his memberships in the International City/County Management Association and multiple civic organizations.
Jeff is a US Navy Veteran and is seasoned in a wide variety of matters that affect City employees, business owners, and residents alike.
He is a graduate of the University of Central Florida, where he earned a bachelor’s degree in political science/international relations and a Master’s degree in public administration, and other certifications related to public safety and local government.
Outside of his professional life, Mr. Shoobridge is a proud husband and father. The Shoobridge family resides in the Tiftarea and they look forward to raising their daughter in the Friendly City.
