1. Where is the City of Tifton Maintenance-Warehouse Complex located?

The City of Tifton Maintenance-Warehouse Complex is located at 1000 Armour Road in Tifton, Ga.

2. Can I get gravel or dirt from the City?

The City does not provide gravel, dirt, or other materials to fill holes on private property, nor do we sell it. We are prohibited, by law, from selling material and equipment to the public without offering it to bid.

3. A tree has fallen in my yard. Will the City remove it?

The City will not remove any tree or limbs on private property. The property owner must contact Golden Environmental to get instructions and coordinate debris removal. You can request a pick-up from Golden Environmental by calling (229) 382-0309.

All trees removed by the City are located on City Right-of-Ways (ROW) and present an immediate threat to life or property. The removal of any tree on City ROW, not classified by an immediate threat, requires the approval of the City of Tifton Tree Board. Contact the City Manager's office for information concerning the Tree Board.

4. When does mosquito control start?

The City of Tifton begins mosquito control in April and continues through October. Currently, we put out dunk tablets in residential areas, parks, and ball fields.

6. Where is the city-owned cemetery and what are the hours of operation?

Oak Ridge Cemetery is located at 1310 South Magnolia Drive, Tifton, GA 31794

The hours of operation are 8 am to 5 pm, Monday through Friday.

7. How do I purchase a grave in the city-owned cemetery and what is the cost?

To purchase a grave, contact Oak Ridge Cemetery at (229) 391-3949. For Tift County citizens, the cost is $650. Residences outside of Tift County pay $950. There is a Tift County Clerk recording fee of $25 for the deed (cash only).

The City of Tifton accepts Mastercard, Visa, Discover, and Debit with a 3% card fee. Cash and checks are also accepted.

8. Where is the city-owned park?

Fulwood Park is located at 1001 North Tift Avenue, Tifton, GA 31794. Fulwood Park is open 6 am to 9 pm, Sunday through Saturday.
