The traffic signals at the intersection of S. Central and 17th Street will be repaired in the coming weeks at an expedited pace.
The former traffic lights were damaged beyond repair and required replacement. The City of Tifton is working with professionals in engineering and traffic signaling to design and repair the intersection’s lights as soon as possible. This repair project is operating on an expedited schedule, as the safety of our citizens is our highest priority.
Please be advised, citizens travelling through this intersection before the repairs are complete should exercise caution and treat the intersection as a 4-way stop.
